The picture below is the living room of the house I grew up in. It's a very small room and it held two adults and five children while we watched I Love Lucy, The Wizard of Oz, and hundreds of others. In order to best utilize the space and give everyone a decent viewing angle at the 21" Magnavox, my parents located it in the fireplace. I don't know of anyone else who has done that, but it really made a lot of sense.
