Heart Calcium Scan

Last week I had a Heart Calcium Scan, which is a test that looks for specks of calcium in the walls of the coronary (heart) arteries and can show early signs of plaque buildup in the coronary arteries. My doctor suggested it as a low-cost ($99, not covered by insurance) test just to see if anything was happening in there that needed attention. Quick and easy CT scan. Happy to find out my score was zero and my pipes are free and clear.
