Patty Melts

When you make a new recipe twice in one week, you know you have a winner, and these will get a permanent spot on the dinner rotation.  They are a perfect use case for the griddle on our gas stovetop, making it much easier to smash things down to the desired thickness.  As you can see below, no cheese is spared, it's covered with caramelized onions before topped with the second piece of marbled rye.  This lives up to its name, "The Greatest Patty Melt In The Country"!
