The recent nasty wind storm caused all sorts of damage, but as pictured below, these people lucked on two accounts. First, the uprooted tree fell perpendicular to the house avoiding any injuries or property damage. The tree came to rest on overhead cables which were strong enough to take the weight. These are not lighter-weight electrical cables, but the type that deliver cable TV and Internet service, which apparently was not interrupted.
Why this particular street had additional poles installed on the street side (eyesore) for cable and did not use the power poles in the backyard is unknown. And why nobody has done anything about this situation a week after it happened is just crazy.
