For a few days every summer, fruit flies invade the house, and other than flying in my eyeballs, the worse thing they do is take a sip of my wine, their last living act. A bar coaster makes a great defense, as shown below. You can splurge and buy something more upscale like the $37 BevHat drink covers at the link below, but just lifting a few from your favorite watering hole is more my style.
